What has been done in October within eTwinning

Theme of the 2024–2025 Academic Year: Citizenship Education

eTwinning has announced its new annual theme for the 2024–2025 academic year. This year, the main focus is on citizenship education, active citizenship, critical thinking, and learning about the values of the European Union. The theme aims to strengthen students’ social responsibility and their integration into society through school-based activities.

Active eTwinner

Güler Bayramova, a teacher at Zarifa Aliyeva Lyceum in Jalilabad city, became the winner of the competition held under the theme “Education in a Different Learning Environment.” This achievement makes a significant contribution to the promotion of innovative teaching approaches.

Best Practice Project

The international lesson model titled “The Power of Modelling Science,” with the participation of Arzu Nasirli, a teacher at Saray Secondary School No. 1 in the Absheron district, was recognized as one of the best practices. The project was among 357 projects awarded the Quality Label in the 2024 academic year.

eTwinning School 2024–2025

Masazir Secondary School No. 4 in the Absheron district became one of the eight schools in Azerbaijan awarded the eTwinning School Label for 2024–2025, in recognition of its outstanding achievements in eTwinning activities. This success reflects the school team’s strong contribution to international cooperation.

Trainings

In September 2024, trainings were organized in Baku and Ganja for 105 teachers who had newly joined the European School Platform. The trainings were conducted by eTwinning project ambassadors Ilaha Guliyeva, Aida Elyazova, and Ofeliya Gafarova.

International and Local Events

  • September 26–28, 2024 – The eTwinning Annual Conference was held in Brussels, Belgium, where Azerbaijan was represented by Ilaha Guliyeva and Aida Alakbarova.
  • October 17–19, 2024 – Project Coordinator Natavan Badalova and Aygun Muradova participated in the international eTwinning seminar titled “From Classroom to Community” held in Tallinn, Estonia.
  • eTwinning promotional meetings were organized by project ambassadors at the Goygol, Jalilabad, and Gabala State Vocational Education Centers.                 October Release
