eTwinning
school visits in Azerbaijan are a cornerstone of teacher development and
international project integration. They contribute significantly to building a
modern, open, and collaborative educational environment. By fostering
connections between schools and educators, these visits ensure that more
students can benefit from innovative, cross-border learning experiences.
In Azerbaijan, school visits are actively organized by ambassadors . These visits serve multiple educational and strategic purposes, aiming to enhance collaboration, professional development, and the implementation of digital and project-based learning among schools. In September-October 2024, meetings with the teaching staff were held at the Gabala State
Vocational Education Center and the Jalilabad State Vocational Education Center within the framework of the “eTwinning” project. The purpose of the meeting was to provide information on the organization of project-based education in vocational institutions, the establishment of a project-based lesson model, the development of student-centered education, and the opportunities to benefit from online professional development resources. In 2024 alone, school visits were conducted in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, and several regions including Shaki, Lankaran, and Shirvan. More than 150 teachers have been participated in the meetings. During the meeting, project ambassadors particularly emphasized important issues such as fostering critical thinking in a digital environment, computer science and coding, and ensuring student safety in the online environment.
